Hello, I’m Micheala, a proofreader and content-support specialist based in Northamptonshire. I work online with clients across the UK, including coaches, course creators, consultants, practitioners and authors.
I bring more than 30 years’ experience of proofreading and refining different forms of writing, together with a calm, careful approach to both the words and the person behind them.

I look carefully at clarity, consistency, spelling, punctuation, and presentation, while keeping sight of how the piece works as a whole.
I begin by understanding your voice, your audience, and what is already working. Any changes are made to strengthen your words - not replace them with mine.
Before work begins, we agree the scope, cost, submission date, and completion date, so you know what to expect and I can reserve the appropriate time for your work.
Your work and our conversations are treated with care and confidentiality. I explain my comments clearly and provide thoughtful support without making the process feel overwhelming.

I support posts, articles, emails, guides, client resources, websites, course materials, manuscripts, and other longer projects. If you are unsure whether your work fits, tell me what you are creating and I will let you know.
Proofreading focuses on spelling, punctuation, grammar, consistency, and presentation. Content refinement may also consider clarity, flow, tone, structure, and how effectively the message works. The agreed level of support will always be confirmed before work begins.
You do not need to decide before contacting me. Tell me what you are creating, who it is for, its approximate length, and where you would particularly like help. I will recommend the most appropriate option.
Some services have a fixed price, while longer or more complex projects are individually quoted. Standard Proofreading begins at £50, and guide prices for the other options are shown on the relevant service pages. You will receive a clear quotation before committing to any work.
This depends on the type, length, complexity of the work and my availability. Content Checks are normally returned within three to five working days, while The Whole Picture Content Review usually takes seven to ten working days. A completion date will be agreed before work begins.

Yes. Your documents and our conversations will be treated confidentially. I do not use AI tools with client documents or extracts, and I will never use examples from your work or share details for marketing without your permission.
